Hey Reader, Last month, I made one of the scariest decisions in my music business (and life). I spent $7,000 on a mentor. Why would I do that? Because recently, I had the uncomfortable realization that… I’m not yet the person I need to be to deserve that next level of success. I procrastinate I don’t go outside much I eat unhealthy I have many limiting beliefs So I knew something had to change. I, had to change. When I joined this room of high-level entrepreneurs (think $1M-$100M range…), I felt two things right away:
“What the heck am I doing here with these guys?!” I was wondering… See, up until now, I’ve always been clear on my goals. I knew exactly what I wanted and the path to get there: make a full-time living off my music skills and knowledge online to quit my job. But since I achieved it, I’ve been hitting a wall. I want to grow my music business far beyond where it is today, but I realized, I don’t actually have a clue on what the next version of my music business looks like. This is why I decided to invest in myself. Not just to “learn strategies,” but to put myself in an environment where I’m forced to stretch, forced to dream bigger, and to be surrounded by people already playing the game at the level I want to play at. Growth requires brutal honesty. You have to be able to look at yourself and say: “Am I the kind of person who can handle the success I want?” If the answer is no, chances are you know exactly what you should be doing - yet you don’t.
