Hi Reader 🤗 In this week's newsletter, I cover topics including:
MAIN TOPICHow I deal with the income rollercoaster as a music creatorThis might be the hardest part of being a full-time music creator: 👉 One month, I can make over $15,000 And no one really prepares you for that. I used to panic at the end of each month, wondering: “Am I going to make enough to pay my bills?” Here's what the last quarter looked like:
Is it volatile? Absolutely. But when you zoom out and take the quarterly average, it comes out to $7,804/month. That’s more than enough for bills, savings, and some fun. So to get out of the panic mode, I stopped obsessing over monthly numbers — and started looking at things quarterly, even yearly. All I had to do was to stop thinking like an employee… and start thinking like a business owner. Easier said than done but over time, it got better! One more thing that helps? 💡 Keeping a buffer in my business account — to ride the low months without stress. Usually, I like to keep 2-3 months of business expenses in there to feel safe. Being a full-time music creator gets easier with time — but only if you treat it like a real business. P.S. Want my support to grow your own music income, get clients, or launch music offers online? Let’s be real for a second. If success knocked on your door tomorrow, would you even be ready? Everyone says they want to be in the top 1%. But 99% of people act the same. They consume more than they create. They talk more than they act. They want results without discomfort. The truth is: You don’t get success until you become the version of yourself that deserves success. And you don’t deserve it just because you’re talented. Or because you’ve “been at this for years.” Or because you’ve...
