Hi Reader 👋🏻 Isn't it frustrating to come back from a day at work, wanting to produce music but having no energy left for it? Between learning music production, making music, daily chores, responsabilities and creating videos for social media... It doesn't leave us much time and energy for our music passion. I know the challenges you are facing as I had them all before. During this time, I was still able to find ways to make time for music, which allowed me to release more than 20 songs! Today, I want to share those strategies with you ↓ 5 tips to produce music more consistently(Today’s topic is from the time management and productivity module of my upcoming MusiCreator course. If you want to monetize your music skills online, make sure to join the waitlist as spots will be very limited!) 1 - Put your music first Yes, I know, it's obvious. But the harsh truth is that 98% of people don't put their music first... Have you ever said yes to a last minute drink whereas you were going to finish your new song that night? Or decided to keep watching a third episode on Netflix instead of starting a new ID? If you're guilty of these, then you don't put your music first. Kindly reply "No thank you, I already have prior engagements." to your friends or yourself. Obviously I'm not saying to never go out or never chill, but instead, to plan your music time first. Every Sunday night, take 5 minutes to think about what you want to do for your music next week. Then block times in your calendar 🗓 2 - Do collaborations One thing that helped me a lot in doing more music is to work with collaborators. Why? Because when there are more people working on a song:
Basically, I only see benefits! 3 - Master the art of focus When having a full-time job (or school), we have a limited amount of studio time. So make it count! How? Master the art of focus and kill off distractions as much as possible. Here are a few of my favourites hacks:
4 - Don't spread yourself too thin The most common mistake I see from aspiring music artists is to have too many work in progress. Here is an image that will explain it better than I can:
Basically, if you have many projects, you will make average progress. But if you focus on one project at a time, you will make great and faster progress. Aka, focus on one song at a time (or 2), but not more! But in order for you to do that, I recommend to visualize your projects ↓ 5 - Use a song tracker It is very easy to get lost in many song projects. We are creatives, we get a lot of ideas! When using a song tracker, the advantage is that you will visually see how many projects you "started"... And how many are unfinished. If you look at mine, you can see that 2 are signed to labels and are waiting to be released - great! Then 3 are waiting for vocals, meaning the music part is done - great again! Then out of the 5 "ideas" I started, I chose one that I am currently focusing on (by doing the arrangement) and nothing else! Until this song is in the "Demo Ready" section, I won't work on the others or start any new idea. I find it great to control myself and stay on track of my music. If you don't want to start from scratch, you can grab my Song Tracker Notion Template here! In SummaryWith the right strategies and systems in place, you can produce much more music than you think. 💌 If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reply to this email and I will do my best to help you out! - PLV 🚀 But speaking about music... 😉 🎧 New Music TuesdayI know it has been a while since I released any music but I'm finally back with a new future bass single called "My Oxygen"! Was I supposed to announce it before? Probably! But there you go 😅 This is my most vulnerable song so far... This one goes to everyone that needs a bit of reassurance in their relationship ❤️ ❤️ My Favourite Resources For Music ArtistsBoombox.io Boombox.io was made specifically for us, music artists. It allows you to:
PosterMyWall If I feel like it, I just find royalty free pictures on websites such as Pexels or Unsplash and do an edit myself on Photoshop, but if I'm short on time and want to speed up the process, I just use this website called PosterMyWall. You can find thousands of album covers templates, choose one and edit it rapidly before downloading the final image. The free version doesn't allow you to use it commercially (but would work for YouTube, for example), but if you want the rights, it is about $3 which, I am happy to pay for the time it saves me and the quality it outputs. Here is an example of a cover art I made for my upcoming single "Forget Me"! You can click here to pre-save it if you want! 🎬 My New VideoHow I Turned A Famous Pop Song Into An EDM Cover (& Released It LEGALLY!) 👋🏻 Looking for more resources? Here are 4 ways I can help you:

Hey Reader, I wanted to send you a quick (but important) update about what’s changing with PLV Music - both on YouTube and in this newsletter. Hey Reader, Something funny happened last week that left me thinking about marketing—and how most musicians get it completely backward. I was explaining to my fiance how my scale is showing me the amount of body weight, muscle mass etc. He then asked me:“How does that scale work exactly?” His question stunned me a little. I paused and replied:“I actually don’t know...” We laughed about it, but then it got me thinking 🤔 I couldn't care less about how the scale works. All I care about is the...
INSIGHTS OF AN ARTIST'S JOURNEY May 13th, 2025 Why “listen to your audience” is the worst advice 🙈 Hey Reader, Early in my journey as a music creator, I kept hearing the same advice: “Just listen to your audience.” So I did. I posted what they asked for. I followed every comment, suggestion, and DM like it was gospel. At first, it felt great - views went up, followers trickled in, and I thought, “I’m doing something right!” But then something strange happened… Despite all the growth, my...
