🎬 My own Netflix documentary (kind of)

One of my closest friend, Dominik Trottier, is a talented aspiring filmmaker. While building his portfolio, he decided to make a documentary on... ME! 😅

So back in July/August, we filmed a bunch of shots, including a master interview. Today, the documentary has been published.

The synopsis - Aurelie Couble, also known as PLV Music, is a full-time music producer, teacher and content creator. After a major career change a few years ago, she managed to turn her livelong passion for music into a profitable and fulfilling business. Her new career, however, has taken a toll on her mental health.

If you want to see behind the scenes of my music business, how I deal with the negative sides, and maybe a few shots of me playing tennis, then you can watch it here 😃

P.S: If you like it, please leave a like and a comment for my friend, he'll be super happy to hear your thoughts! ❤️

🎧 A new trend for DJ sets

Recently, it seems that a new trend for successful DJ sets is emerging on YouTube.

I keep seeing videos such as this one:

Of this one:

Noticing anything?

I see a few key elements:

  1. The thumbnail visually represents the vibe and emotion of the mix topic. For example, "Chill summer deep house" is on a beach at sunset, which "Morning Chill House" is in a well-lit living room. It gives the viewer the exact mood of the music and set.
  2. We see the artist/DJ perform with their mixer. We know it won't just be an image but an actual performance video.
  3. 1+ hour videos. Those are longer videos that people can just launch while they do something else, which helps massively for a good average view duration on YouTube.

Those videos were both published in the last 6 months, meaning that if you are a DJ looking to grow your fanbase, you should try such a trend and see how it does.

If you get successful with this, please let me know!!! 😃

🚀 MusiCreator Updates

If you are interested in my course MusiCreator, I have good news!

I've been working hard to add more content to the course, including 2 new modules:

  1. How To Land Sponsorships With Top Music Brands
  2. YouTube Mastery For Music Creators

On top of these, the course will now be on demand. Meaning that you can take it on your own time, at your own rhythm, through pre-recorded classes and weekly/monthly live Q&A for more personal support.

The course will launch around the end of December/beginning January and everyone who enrols through the waitlist will receive an exclusive 40% discount for the first week of launch! 🎁

So if you were interested, hop on the waitlist here to not miss it! 😃

🎨 I’m renovating my music studio (WIP)

You might love my black and white LED light studio setup I had but me...

I HATED IT 🥲

So last weekend, my fiancé and I took it all down!

We:

  • Painted the whole room in a "Deep Breath" colour
  • Added a red comfy arm chair with a footstool and a wooden IKEA shelf
  • Got an electrician to come install 2 ceiling lights (as I had none before...)
  • & my fiancé surprised me with a cozy Himalayan Salt lamp 😍

Here's a sneak peek! 👀

Of course, I am documenting the whole renovation for an ultimate video on my new music home studio setup when it'll be complete.

💬 A tool to break down your projects

Sometimes, projects might feel overwhelming when we already have a thousand items on our to-do list.

Meet Goblin Tools - a tool to break down projects in manageable tasks.

For example, if I type "I need to work on a release plan for my upcoming single", it will automatically output all the little tasks I need to do in order to achieve that project ⬇️

You could use it to finish a song you started, to plan content for your social media, to reach out to playlists etc etc...

Hey Reader, Something funny happened last week that left me thinking about marketing—and how most musicians get it completely backward. I was explaining to my fiance how my scale is showing me the amount of body weight, muscle mass etc. He then asked me:“How does that scale work exactly?” His question stunned me a little. I paused and replied:“I actually don’t know...” We laughed about it, but then it got me thinking 🤔 I couldn't care less about how the scale works. All I care about is the...

INSIGHTS OF AN ARTIST'S JOURNEY May 13th, 2025 Why “listen to your audience” is the worst advice 🙈 Hey Reader, Early in my journey as a music creator, I kept hearing the same advice: “Just listen to your audience.” So I did. I posted what they asked for. I followed every comment, suggestion, and DM like it was gospel. At first, it felt great - views went up, followers trickled in, and I thought, “I’m doing something right!” But then something strange happened… Despite all the growth, my...
