I’m a black sheep, I’ll admit it.

I’m stubborn and I never do what I’m told.

A true Aries ♈️

You could argue that it has its cons (and I agree), but I like to focus on the pros.

Let me take you back to when I was 6 years old.

At school during recess, I wasn’t with any of the other girls in my class.

I was on the soccer field playing soccer with the guys.

In high school, I was told to go for a scientific master.

I chose applied arts.

And after my applied arts studies, I wanted to continue to a private VFX school.

No one understood what it was.

My teachers even had a meeting with my parents and told them “it’s not a real job”.

So stupid… 😮‍💨

And when I was in VFX school, on my last year, I was told to only work on our end of the year movie. To not work on my own demo reel (aka my portfolio), which is what allows you to get a job after school…

Absolutely bonkers if you ask me!!

So what did I do?

You guessed it… I worked on my demo reel and was the very first person in my class to land a job the day after graduation 🥳

I have many more stories like these but all this to say that I’ve always been a black sheep growing up.

So it’s no surprise that I did the exact same when it came to the music industry.

I never understood why people are chasing pennies through royalties.

And I didn’t want to be a touring artist or DJ because it doesn’t fit my lifestyle.

So I found another way. I carved my own path.

I created the term “music creator” to define someone who uses their music skills to make a living from their passion and create the lifestyle they want from the comfort of their own bedroom.

If you can relate to this, I am looking for more black sheep in need of a mentor to help them monetize their music skills online and inspire others to do the same.
