I did the same thing.

I had my SoundBetter profile up for months but it was not until
three or four months later that one person finally reached out.

I replied right away.

They never answered.

And that’s the problem.

Even when you do get attention on these platforms, the quality of
the leads is usually bad. So you end up stuck in this weird place
where you’re technically available, but nothing is actually happening.

No clients. No income. Just waiting.

I see a lot of music creators stuck there for way too long.

You keep adjusting your profile. Maybe you pay for premium to be seen more.
Maybe you lower your prices.

But at the end of the day, you're still depending on a platform to bring you work.

You’re not really in control.

What changed things for me was realizing I couldn’t keep waiting like that.
If I wanted clients, I had to put myself in front of them directly.
That’s where content comes in.

Not "influencer" content. Just showing your work.

→ Before and after mixes.
→ Breaking down how you made something.
→ Showing a project you worked on.
→ Sharing a result you got for a client.

You don’t need to go viral. You just need the right person to see what you can do.

It takes time, yeah. But so does sitting on a platform for months making nothing.

At least this way, you’re building something that’s yours.
