π₯Ί I missed the biggest opportunity of my careerβ¦
On Monday 20th, I got extremely sick from the norovirus. For a few various reasons, I caught it pretty bad to the point that we had to call 911 (I'll spare you the details!!).
It took me a few days to recover physically (and a few more mentally) so I missed my plane and couldn't go to NAMM... π₯
Obviously, I've been very sad since then as it was my chance to:
π Meet other music creators... π€ Network with a lot of top music brands... π₯ Vlog the whole experience for my channel...
But you know me, I do my best to turn every failure into lessons, so here it goes!
#1 - This was completely out of my control.
Believe me when I told you I would have rather gone to NAMM!!! But this was not something I could control so I decided to let go of it and instead, focus on what I can control.
So going forward, I will NEVER attend a 1yo birthday party a few days before a flight ever again!! π
Maybe next year I'll make it! π
#2 - I learned to deal with anxiety
I'm not going to lie to you, what happened to me was terrifying.
Again, I'll keep the details for myself but don't worry, I'm safe now, it was all because of this nasty virus! :)
But since then, I have had a lot of trauma from what happened, giving me a lot of anxiety.
I couldn't work or eat much for 10 days straight because the anxiety was too much...
So I decided to learn about anxiety.
How to live with it, how to control it, how to let go of it and I know that it will be a new valuable skill for me to take over the long-term in my day-to-day activities.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. πͺπ»
π β10x is easier than 2xβ
This is the latest book I've been reading - a gem π
β
The book challenges the idea of gradual progress by arguing that aiming for exponential growth (10x) is actually easier than incremental improvement (2x).
The key is eliminating 80% of what doesnβt serve your bigger vision and focusing only on the most impactful actions. Rather than working harder, you must shift your identity, think bigger, and surround yourself with the right people to achieve breakthrough results.
This book is essential for anyone who feels stuck in slow progress because it provides a clear framework for transforming your mindset, simplifying your focus, and achieving success faster.
So this is a little reminder to you that you are doing great, making progress at your own rhythm and that you will win your own race. Keep it up! ππ»
β¨ The Top 5 Regrets Of The Dying
While I was recovering, I spent a lot of time on YouTube and came across this video:
β
In the video, she talks reading a book by Bronnie Ware, a palliative nurse, who documented the top five regrets of the dying:
"I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself"
"I wish I hadn't worked so hard"
"I wish I had the courage to express my feelings"
"I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends"
"I wish I had let myself be happier"
I thought that this video was a great reminder about the importance of the present moment and the trap of achievement addiction (which I am guilty of!!).
People often stress about the future, but lifeβs magic lies in the present.
The most meaningful experiences come from relationships, passions, and everyday moments - not external achievements.
Many believe they will be happy once they reach a goal, but true happiness comes from the process and personal growth itself.
For example, when starting to release your songs, find joy in small wins and progress, not just reaching monthly listeners and streams milestones.
Many people wait for the perfect moment to start something, but clarity and confidence come from doing, not waiting.
Every small step builds momentum, confidence, and growth.
Remember that: "Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not guaranteed - the only moment we have is now."
Stop waiting and start living today.
Take action: Call a loved one, start a passion project, travel, and prioritize what truly matters.
The biggest regret in life is not starting earlier β¨
π Funniest Snow White Comments (But itβs a song)
This video popped on my feed and it was way too hilarious for me not to share it with you!
They took all the bad comments from the last snow white movie trailer and made it into a song π
First, it's very funny!
But second, this is a brilliant idea to build a fanbase and bring attention to your music!
Pretty sure this one is done through A.I. but a great reminder of how using trends to bring attention to your music is a powerful tool!
When you're ready, here are 4 ways I can help you:
